Thomas M. Dafnos, CFP®

Tom is a Senior Advisor and owner of Crosspoint Wealth Advisors, LLC, where he works specifically with high net-worth owners of privately held companies on succession planning, estate planning, charitable planning, and deferred giving techniques. 

A 1971 cum laude graduate of Ohio State University, Tom has been consulting in business development and financial planning for over 35 years.  

Tom was the senior partner of Capital Analysts of the Midwest from its inception in 1989, serving as a charter member of the Circle of Excellence with Capital Analysts, Inc. He is a member of the Roundtable and President's Club of Lincoln Investments. Tom is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNERTM and a member of Kingdom Advisors.

Tom serves on the boards of several Private Foundations, Civic Organizations, faith based ministries, and for-profit corporations. He is passionate about encouraging and assisting families in achieving their lifetime and testamentary stewardship goals.

Tom holds a designation of Distinguished Club Maker for golf club fitting and design and is an active member of Old Oakland Golf Club. Tom and his wife, Martha, reside in Fishers, Indiana. They have two daughters and four grandchildren.

Brent T. Dunn, CFP®

Brent is a Senior Advisor and owner of Crosspoint Wealth Advisors, LLC. 

Brent is passionate about helping individuals and families manage their wealth well and to help them gain confidence and contentment about their finances. Brent’s unique experience allows him to skillfully integrate investment management, financial planning, estate planning, and charitable planning, helping individuals to improve their own financial position, improve their estate plan, give more to their favorite charities and to possibly reduce taxes during life and at death. Brent is also dedicated to helping faith-based individuals better integrate their faith with their finances.   

Brent T. Dunn graduated from Indiana University in 1980 with a degree in Finance. He earned his CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNERTM certification in 1985. Between 1990 and 2002, Brent was a Senior Consultant with Renaissance, a firm specializing in charitable trusts and foundations. During this period Brent helped financial planners, estate planning attorneys, and other professional advisors design and implement over 1,000 charitable trusts and other charitable planning tools, improving their clients’ financial plans and estate plans.   

In 2011 Brent organized Planning Success with Significance LLC, to help local ministries and charitable organizations educate their boards of directors, development staff, and other supporters of the organizations learn about the power of giving non-cash gifts and of strategically  integrating their financial plans, estate plans, and charitable plans.

Brent is an active member of Kingdom Advisors, leading Kingdom Advisor Study Groups and coordinating educational events for the professional advisory community. Brent and his family are active in their church and other community organizations in Fishers Indiana.

Stephen J. Schug, CFP Crosspoint Wealth Advisors, LLC

Stephen J. Schug, CFP® 

Steve is a Senior Advisor and founding partner of Crosspoint Wealth Advisors, LLC.

Steve graduated from the University of Indianapolis in 1977 with a degree in Business Administration and Economics and has been active in the financial services industry since that time. He began a total financial planning practice in 1985 and in 1990 was a co-founder of Capital Analysts of the Midwest, Inc. (CAMI).

Steve obtained his CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNERTM certification in 1994 and became a General Securities Principal in 1998. He has served as a member of Field Advisory Committees at the national level in both the securities and life insurance industries. He was a charter member and 18 year qualifier for his former broker dealer's Circle of Excellence, and is a current member of the President's Club for Lincoln Investment.  Steve has served as a speaker at various industry conferences and has taught adult education classes on the subject of retirement planning.

The focus of Steve's practice is in helping business owners and professionals meet their estate and business succession goals. He and his partners have helped create numerous family foundations and charitable trusts. Steve has a particular emphasis in working with farm families and agribusiness companies.

Steve and his wife Pam live in Pendleton, Indiana, on a family farm dating to 1822. Steve is active in his church where he serves as a Stephen Minister. He is a member of the Estate Planning Council of Indianapolis. Steve enjoys sports, music and various fitness activities. Steve and Pam enjoy spending time with their children and grandchildren.

Michael Dunn

Michael Dunn

Michael joined Crosspoint Wealth Advisors in January of 2018 and serves in the role of Associate Planner.

Michael graduated from Indiana University in 2012 with a bachelor's degree in Management from the School of Public and Environmental Affairs. Prior to joining Crosspoint Wealth Advisors, Michael worked for Coca-Cola Refreshments and Charles Schwab. During his time at Charles Schwab, Michael passed his FINRA Series 7, Series 63, and Series 66 exams and worked in a number of different specialized departments.

Michael is passionate about helping individuals and families gain clarity, confidence, and contentment in their financial future. At CWA, Michael assists in the analysis and maintenance of clients' investment portfolios, works alongside Senior Advisors to develop financial plans, and helps with overall practice management.

Michael resides in Lawrence, Indiana with his wife. He enjoys spending time with his family and friends, and his favorite hobbies are playing basketball, playing ping pong, and cheering on his beloved Hoosiers!

Josh Gavit, AIF Crosspoint Wealth Advisors, LLC

Josh Gavit, AIF®

Josh is an Associate Planner at Crosspoint Wealth Advisors, LLC where he works to help families gain clarity and confidence in the area of finances. 

Josh graduated from Indiana University in 2010 with a degree in Economics. Since joining Crosspoint Wealth Advisors in 2012, Josh has worked as part of both the investment management team and the financial planning team, where he regularly meets with clients, helps with the management of investment portfolios, and assists our Senior Advisors with charitable and estate planning projects.  Josh is FINRA Series 65 and Series 7 licensed, and also holds an Accredited Investment Fiduciary® designation. He is currently a candidate for the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNERTM designation.      

Josh resides in Carmel, Indiana and enjoys coaching youth soccer, playing intramural soccer, spending time with his family and friends, and cheering on his Indiana Hoosiers.

 

Sarah D. McKaig, CLTC, CSA

Sarah D. McKaig, CLTC®, CSA®

Sarah is the Finance Director and Insurance Specialist for Crosspoint Wealth Advisors, LLC. In addition to managing the financial operations of CWA and other related entities, her focus is on risk management for clients. 

Sarah graduated with distinction from Purdue University in 2002 with degrees in English and Psychology. She joined Crosspoint Wealth Advisors in 2006, managing cash flow and financial reporting for several large entities and servicing existing clients. She obtained her FINRA Series 7 and Series 66 licenses in 2009. Sarah furthered her training with a Certified Senior Advisor® designation, a Certified Long Term Care designation®, specialized training on Social Security for retirees, and an Insurance license in 2015.  

Sarah is an active member of her church in Logansport, Indiana, where she is the worship leader and heads up the praise team. She and her husband have three young children, and together they enjoy traveling and shuttling their children to sports activities. Sarah is also a yoga instructor with a passion for teaching classes that combine her Christian faith and fitness.

Catherine is an Associate Planner for Crosspoint Wealth Advisors, LLC.

Catherine joined the CWA team in January 2018 and assists with business development and relationship management of clients, non-profits, and charities.

Catherine graduated from Portland State University in 1991 with B.S. in Marketing and International Business. She gained her MBA with a Finance Focus from Regent University.  She has almost twenty years in sales with a major Mutual Fund company and spent several years working in the Insurance field as well. She retains her Series 6, 63, and 65 licenses, as well as her Indiana Insurance license. 

Catherine is an active member in her church. She enjoys being involved in many volunteer organizations locally to help the community and inner city. She has a passion for traveling abroad and enjoys horseback riding, zip lining, tennis, golf, music, ballroom dancing, and playing the piano. 

Janalee H. Kane Crosspoint Wealth Advisors LLC

Janalee H. Kane

Jana is the Client Services Manager for Crosspoint Wealth Advisors, LLC where she heads up projects and provides general assistance and technology support to our clients.

Jana graduated from Purdue University. She spent several years as an elementary school teacher where she headed Accreditation teams.  Jana was an active volunteer at local schools when her children were of school age. She joined the CWA team in 2013 as an Administrative Assistant, and her role at Crosspoint Wealth Advisors has grown and expanded since that time.

Jana and her husband have two children, and she is an active member of her church. She loves to travel with her family.  Jana also enjoys reading, crafting, gardening, and photography.

 

Michele Meyers

Michele Meyers

Michele is the Receptionist and New Account Specialist for Crosspoint Wealth Advisors, LLC where she provides support to clients and assists advisors.  

Michele graduated from Purdue University in 1992 with a Bachelor of Arts degree.  Prior to joining CWA in 2016 she worked in the financial industry processing mortgage loans. She has been an active volunteer in local schools including serving as Treasurer and President of the PTO.  

Michele and her husband have two children. She enjoys biking, spending time with her family, and watching sports, particularly Purdue.
